Virtualization and the Cloud

let's look at the direction that virtualization has taken, we have the players so now we need to make some decisions on what we want to make with our solutions. Do we put them into a cloud? Public and private?

Well there is Amazon, rackspace, goGrid, Terremark, etc. We use Terremark and at times gogrid for our enterprise solutions with SAP.
Rackspace for email and web and testing Amazon is being used.

BUT this is only the beginning, there is the solution on the cloud, the organization you are going to use and how your going to run them.

There are cost's associated with each. the most expensive by far is Terramark, and the lowest cost is GoGrid based on our current usage.

Each firm has their own idea on how to get to the core of their usage so be very careful how and who you choose.
